The Digital & Technology risk agenda is complex, dynamic & can be difficult to navigate without access to the right experience & skills. Having been alongside this agenda for over 30 years as Head of Technology Risk at a FTSE 100 entity, 16 years at PwC & the last 10 years as the Partner leading BDO’s Technology Risk Assurance Practice, I have seen the war stories & helped many businesses navigate their way through this agenda.
The last 26 years allowed me to build insights & expertise across a multitude of industries, including global or UK-based financial service providers, insurance sector, online gambling providers, retail, logistics & supply chains, motor industry, private equity, government & mid-market entrepreneurially minded entities. I am happy to share more examples about the wider risk agenda facing businesses, to bring to life the threats and how Board members can pragmatically evolve their thinking & approach to this strategic challenge.

Steve Dellow - Director
An experienced technology risk and assurance leader with more than 25 years' experience helping organisations strengthen governance, manage technology risk & build confidence in their digitally reliant services. Having held senior leadership roles within one of the UK's leading professional services firms, Steve has advised Boards, Audit Committees & executive teams across a wide range of sectors on the identification, assessment & management of technology risk.
In addition to advising senior leaders, Steve has worked extensively with first-line management to design and implement practical responses to complex regulatory requirements, including GDPR, Solvency II & Operational Resilience. This combination of strategic & operational experience enables him to bridge the gap between governance and delivery, ensuring that technology risk is understood, managed & communicated effectively throughout the organisation.
Steve helps Boards & senior executives focus on the technology risks that matter most to their business. He enables leaders to ask the right questions, challenge management constructively & evaluate the quality of information they receive, allowing them to reach informed, evidence-based conclusions on whether technology risks are being managed effectively & whether appropriate controls are in place to support resilient business operations.
